While they were likely content with MK8 for the holidays while being around family, it's not as fun when you're playing alone - they needed something more singleplayer style. Pretty crazy how a fire sale from a single retailer can rock the weekly sales charts to that degree. Quiet sales week I guess? I read that UK charts include now digital sales from Xbox One and PS4, but not for Nintendo.
