Mario Party: The Top 100 Gets a New Festive Release Date in Europe Nintendo Life

It's par-tay time by Share: is out now in North America - yes, we're working on bringing you a review - and promises much, combining some of the most popular games in the IP's history. It's been one of those split releases, though, with Nintendo of Europe previously stating it'd arrive in January. In a move somewhat reminiscent of the approach with  on Wii U back in the day, NoE has now brought the release forward to 22nd December in order to cash in on the festive period. : The Top 100 arrives on Nintendo systems on 22/12. Yep, December 22nd!- Nintendo of Europe (@NintendoEurope) It certainly makes a lot of sense, and Nintendo will likely be hoping for eShop purchases on shiny new systems, though the game will naturally also arrive at retail. Related Games Share: Comments ) I will be partying with Xenoblade 2 around then. No time for rando 3ds games. They should say 22nd of December as we are not American, otherwise we would have this game already If they were being American they'd have written it as 12/22, not 22/12 No thank you. Just go back to the classic Mario Party 2 style and cut out all the unnecessary stuff like heavy item use, 1-player-events that have little impact on the other players and shorten the surprise events. To this day, 20 rounds in MP2 feel shorter to me than 10 in the later GC/Wii titles. But 12/22 is the correct way of expressing that date! I will buy this eventually.
Not Day One, maybe i will take it on early 2018. Good. Now I can play it during Christmas. Has it been confirmed if this game uses the 3D-effect? this could of been a good seller on the switch though I can see why its coming out on 3ds in time for xmas Really should be out now or the start of December as many folks would've done their Christmas shopping by then, Already have it installed on my 3DS. Neat minigames, but the amiibo support is so shallow compared to Star Rush! : No 3D effect. Most of Nintendo's own 3DS games going forward have no 3D effect whatsoever. Even New Style Boutique 3 of all games has no 3D. Without the 3D effect, I see no reason to continue supporting the 3DS. At least the 3D effect gave it something to distinguish it from the Switch. if you only say MM/DD then yes. but the full date in america MM/DD/YY makes absolutely no sense. YY/MM/DD is the right way. not true, the game has 3D. but it's the weirdest 3D i've ever seen. the menus and worlds are in decent 3D but when it comes to the minigames some have 3D and some don't. it's so weird. and the ones that have 3D don't have good 3D. I think it's mostly on one plane so it doesn't really help you with jumping on someone for example. Not been hearing great things about it. From what I've heard, they've nerfed some games to fit around the boards and 3DS features. Probably realized a late Xmas release was the best hope this game had of selling decently....
Very wonky and weirdly, acording to the bitblock : That's strange considering that all of Nintendo's own games to date have had great 3D. The infographics and other information that I've spotted have all pointed to a 2D-only release. Perhaps that may be the case once it hits Europe/Australia. As a single player experience, minigame island is great. As a Mario Party though? It is the single most bare bones title in the series history, even less features than the GBA game. Really. You've seen the trailers? Well then you have experienced everything this game has to offer. It's such a waste of potential, not because it's on the 3DS, it's wasted potential because they went for the extreme bare minimum in every department outside of the minigame count. the only nintendo game with bad 3D is probably NSMB2 yes the European infographic says game in 2D while the equivalent US one doesn't. it's just a mistake on the EU one. What a pity. I really appreciate good 3D in games. Sorry Nintendo, no sale this time. Festive period? Really? It’s called Christmas Season. Will be getting this for my kids. They love playing with each other and this is perfect game for that. And it's like such a shame because the minigame match mode is actually very good, it's like the natural progression of the original board formula... But they ruined it by having only one generic tiny board. Minigame Island on hard mode is really good. A real challenge. The game can be played alone versus computer-controlled characters, and you can send a minimalistic version of the game to other players via download play to play with other people who don't own the game. If this was on Switch, I might've gotten it. If it was online, I probably would have gotten it. However, finding a bunch of 3DS owners to play this with is a pain and not worth it, and I don't play Mario Party for single player. Sad to see this pass but Star Rush, while enjoyable to me, ended up being a waste of money without the ability to play multiplayer more than two times... I have absolutely no interest in this whatsoever, and I suspect not many will. Nope. Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to to post a comment...
