THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Deshaan

Deshaan is a swamp zone located in Black Marsh. Here the player will find muddy marshes, small mountains and the beautiful city of Mournhold. There are also giant, thick trees that are a joy to traverse through. There are many cities in Black Marsh however Mournhold which is a part of Deshaan is the most amazing. Argonian architecture is really a sight to behold! Although some people may find swamps icky, they can be extremely pretty when looking at them from the right spot, especially in a fantasy game like the Elder Scrolls Online. When the player is in the midst of that swamp fog and those giant trees, Deshaan is definitely candy for the eyes.

The Alik r desert

Deserts can be bleak and scorching and although the Alik'r desert is no exception, it still earns a place on this list for having such a picturesque environment. Looking at a dark anchor in the distance in the desert is such a stunning picture that it can be hard to look away. The Alik r desert is home to some amazing sandstone cities and the player can even buy a sandstone mansion of their own! Although it isn't the most beautiful zone in the Elder Scrolls Online, it definitely makes the top 10!

Vvardenfell

Vvardenfell was added to the game with the Morrowind Expansion and it is one of the largest zones in the game. Players may recognize the island's familiarity because it is the same island from the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and they are extremely similar in size and environment despite the time skip between the two games. Vvardenfell is filled with giant mushrooms and Dark Elf architecture, there is also a fair amount of dwarven ruins hanging around. What makes this island so stunning, however, is the Red Mountain in the center of the map. Although the player cannot go into the mountain, there is a battleground map that is set near it. This zone is a nostalgic beauty for sure!

Rivenspire

Who doesn't love a good giant mountain or two for screenshot taking? Rivenspire is a zone filled with large mountains and beaches on its north coast. What makes this zone so amazing is its mysteriousness and feeling of scale, there is always so much more beautiful scenery around the corner. Rivenspire is a major contender for sure and it is surprisingly fun to watch the sunset and walk through the zone blindly. Every player should make their way to this High Rock zone at some point. If a player needs a place to paint the scenery, Rivenspires got their back!

Reaper s March

Reaper s March is an extremely grassy zone full of open plains and Khajit Cities. This is the kind of place where you expect to see majestic animals roaming the land and that perfect rainstorm that somehow makes the environment look even more beautiful. There are many unique places to explore in this zone despite its simple-yet-unique design. The player can buy multiple houses in Reaper s March and one of them, Serenity Falls Estate, is one of the most scenic player houses in the game because of the architecture and the waterfall it has on the property. This zone would make any adventurer want to stop for a second and just take in the view.

Summerset

Added with the Summerset expansion, the island of Summerset is a stunning High Elf wonderland and really reminds the player that they are playing a fantasy game. There are sprawling oceans in every direction and grassy mountains for the player to climb. There isn't anything quite like looking out on the ocean from one of Summersets beaches. Summerset island is also amazing for its interesting environment, such as it's beautiful Alinor City that will make the jaw of any traveler drop. Anybody who plays the Elder Scrolls Online should eventually make their way to Summerset, not doing so would be a crime against beauty!

The Clockwork City

The Clockwork City is a realm created by Sotha Sil, one of three members of the Tribunal in universe. It is filled with mechanical enemies and environments which really change the design of the game's standard look. When the player enters into this realm, they are shrunken down to fit in the artifact that holds the Clockwork City. The Clockwork City deserves a spot high up on this list because Elder Scrolls fans have never experienced anything like it before. This combined with the fact that this small zone is beautiful to look at from the inside makes it a major contender on this list.

Cyrodiil

Cyrodiil, which functions as a giant PVP zone in the Elder scrolls online, is a grassy zone with many Ayleid ruins. It is also home to the Imperial City which has been taken over by one of the Daedric lords during the events of the game. As such, the Imperial City has a giant dark anchor hovering over it which makes for a picturesque scene every time the player looks towards the center of the zone. Cyrodiil is somewhat empty, however, which is unsurprising due to the size of the zone. There are towns and keeps that players must fight giant battles to keep control of which creates some beautiful pictures. Cyrodiil really is a sight to behold in the Elder Scrolls Online due to its massive size and Daedric-owned Imperial City.

Wrothgar

Wrothgar is the Orc homeland and is known for being filled with beautiful scenery and rich backstory. If consists of both Snowy and grassy environments and has large mountains that hold its cities. This zone is a fan-favorite for many reasons and the design of the environment is not an exception. The snowy mountains combined with the amazing architecture of the Orcs make this a beautiful sight to behold and it makes players love the DLC all the more. For any player who enjoys Snowy environments with Orc themes, this zone is an absolute treat for the eyes!

The Rift

The Rift is just as beautiful in the Elder Scrolls Online as it was in . This zone has an autumn feel to it because of the foliage and the choice of trees by the designers. The Rift is absolutely stunning because of the atmosphere of peacefulness it gives off. Players were excited to see this slab of land return in the Elder Scrolls Online and they were not disappointed. With the wooden city of Riften and the autumn-like feel, this zone is definitely one of, if not the most beautiful zone in the Elder Scrolls Online.
