Carroll believes that the loss of superstar QB Russell Wilson to the Broncos will not require any replacement. While the trade involved QB Drew Lock as a replacement, the fans felt the team would be searching for their veteran starting QB this offseason. But Carroll seems to be playing down the possibility of any such moves in the coming weeks. Pete Carroll on trading for a vet QB: "I don’t see us making a trade for anybody at all. I don’t see that happening." — lindsey ok (@lindseyyok) During his interview with Sports Radio 93.3 KJR-FM in Seattle, Carroll , “I don’t see us making a trade for anybody at all. I don’t see that happening. But we’re certainly going to continue to be open to chances to help our club, and meanwhile, we’re just going to be battling and competing our tails off. There are always possibilities, so we keep open to that.”

The Seahawks HC knows that organizations aren’t allowed to publicly comment on potential interest in players on other teams. He seems to be in no hurry to break that rule. While Carroll remains silent about the Browns’ QB, Mayfield was open in admitting that Seattle will be an ideal landing spot. The Seahawks will be hoping the Browns release him soon so that he can be signed on their fresh terms.
