After players shifting to LIV for better offers and left behind PGA, the PGA has made some changes. There have been multi-million modifications to the PGA tour’s top end structure. While speaking to Golf Digest, he expressed his true feelings. The former No.1, unlike other LIV Golf players, does not want to fight. He wants to travel less and play less, as his 50th birthday is in April next year. He wants to relax and not get caught up in the conflict. Lee calls out hypocrisy of PGA Tour
After the announcement of the PGA tour changes, the golf world is reacting in all forms. Some are negative and some are positives. But Lee went for honesty. He does not find any difference in LIV Golf and the PGA tour. In fact, he called it hypocrisy. It’s just a copy of what LIV is doing. There are a lot of hypocrites out there. They all say LIV is ‘not competitive.’ “They all point at the no-cut aspect of LIV and the short fields. Now, funnily enough, they are proposing 20 events that look a lot like LIV. Hopefully, at some point they will all choke on their words. He is looking forward to play the LIV event which will happen in Miami, end of October. After that, he will not have to tee up till February. He is all set to enjoy his four months off.
