10 Best Places To Find Monster Bone In Monster Hunter World

Monster Bone + is a handy material in Monster Hunter World, used for crafting and upgrades. Here are the best places to find this rare drop. Monster Bone + is a handy material to have in . It’s used to craft a few dozen or so armor pieces and many weapons use a few Monster Bone +s for upgrades. Depending on what you want to upgrade you’re going to need a few dozen before the playthrough is over. This can be problematic considering Monster Bone + is a rare drop and there are only a few sources with decent drop rates to acquire some. However, there are a few optional quests in the game that you can grind over and over again to build up your stash in this great . These are the best places to find Monster Bone +. Invader In The Waste

The Invader In The Waste is different from the other quests on this list because it’s a required story mission, needed in order to progress. It’s also not replayable, meaning once it’s done you have to turn to something else. Because of this, it ranks the lowest as it’s not farmable. However, it does have a 30% chance of rewarding you with the Monster Bone +, but the Pukei-Pukei monster you’re hunting will not drop one. You have to complete this quest anyway so if it’s open go for it, but when you’re ready to grind you’ll need another source of Monster Bone +.

Crown Of Mud And Anger

The Crown Of Mud And Anger quest sends you to hunt down the Barroth in the Wildspire Wastes. The nice thing about this quest is that there are no HR requirements so you simply need to progress far enough to unlock it. Like others on this list, the Barroth itself does not drop the Monster Bone + so the only way to acquire one is from the 30% chance it’ll be given as a quest reward. This is a nice quest you can grind if your HR isn’t up to snuff for the others listed.

Pukei-Pukei Ambush

The Pukei-Pukei Ambush quest sends you into the Wildspire Waste to hunt down the Pukei-Pukei monster. You’ll need an HR of 11 or higher and there’s a time limit of 50 minutes. Like the other quests on this list, it has a 30% chance of dropping a Monster Bone +. The reason this ranks lower is that the monster you’re hunting does not drop Monster Bone +. It is a weaker monster compared to others on this list, so if you’re lower leveled or ill-equipped for others this might not be a bad option.

Googly-eyed Green Monster

The NPCs of this game really have something against Pukei-Pukeis. The Googly-eyed Green Monster quest in the Ancient Forest has you hunting down one if your HR is 11 or higher. Like the other quests, it has a 30% chance of giving you two Monster Bone +s. Whether you hunt the Pukei-Pukei in this quest or the others is entirely up to you, it's a case of what location you’re in and which is most convenient for your build.

Loop The Paolumu

This quest is located in the Coral Highlands and comes with a 30% chance of rewarding two Monster Bone +s upon completion. You do need an HR of 11 and you have 50 minutes to complete the quest. Unfortunately, the Paolumu does not drop the material you need so you’ll be grinding the quest over and over. On the bright side, you’re guaranteed a reward of 7,200 gold and the Paolumu is a rather easy monster to tackle, assuming you can keep this deflated.

Into The Bowels Of The Vale

This quest sits funny on this list because while you have two chances to obtain a Monster Bone +, the odds are less than the ones above. The quest Into The Bowels Of The Vale is the only one that has a 24% chance of rewarding a Monster Bone + instead of 30% like the others. The upside is that the monster you’re hunting, the Odogaron has a 13% chance of dropping the bone. So while your odds of getting one is worse you have two chances of getting one and the quest can drop two, which is why it’s placed here. Of course, the Odorgaron is a tough monster to face and the is no picnic so this might rank at the bottom for most players.

Say Cheese

Say Cheese is a quest that sends you to slay the Tziitzi-Ya-Ku in the Coral Highlands. You’ll need an HR 11 or higher and the quest has a time limit of 50 minutes. What’s nice about this quest is that it gives you two chances to obtain Monster Bone +. The quest itself has a 30% chance of giving one as a reward and the monster you’re hunting has a 16% of dropping one. It’ll take some farming, but that 30% is the highest drop rate for Monster Bone + and getting two chances to obtain one is nice.

Keep Your Hands To Yourself

Keep Your Hands To Yourself is a great quest to farm because it has a 30% chance of rewarding you with a Monster Bone + and the Kulu-Ya-Yu you’re sent to kill has a whopping 18% chance of dropping one. You’ll need an HR of 11, the quest has a time limit of 50 minutes, and it’s located in Wildspire Wastes. There are better ways to farm, but this one certainly isn’t a bad one to grind if you’re not ready for a bigger fight.

Tingling Taste

The Tingling Taste has you tracking down the Great Girros in the Rotten Vale. It’s part of the quest chain to unlock RRRRRumble in The Waste to get the Affinity Booster and Astera Beer. For Monster Bone + hunting it has a 30% chance of rewarding you with two. The Great Girros also has a 10% chance of dropping one when you defeat it. Given the monster and the location it’s a rather tough challenge for poor odds when compared to the others on this list. Absolutely do this quest if you’re interested in the quest chain, but don’t spend too much time farming this one.

Hard To Swallow

Hard to Swallow is the single best way to farm Monster Bone + in the game as it has the greatest odds of getting you one. The quest itself has a 30% of granting you two and the monster, the Great Jagras has a 20% chance of dropping one, the best odds of any monster in the game. Granted the Great Jagras can be a tough fight, but for the 30% odds to get two and a 20% drop rate it’s worth the time and effort it takes to get strong enough to grind this beast.
