Gyroids have been a fixture in Animal Crossing since the very beginning of the franchise. In the past, there have been two kinds of Gyroids, the kind for entertainment and the kind for game upkeep. In past games, players have been able to collect three-piece sets of Gyroids fitting the same color scheme and theme. Furniture Gyroids also play music, but not K.K. Slider tracks. Gyroid beats are more a collection of beeps, boops, and bongs, along with some robotic dance moves. The fixed Gyroids that were stationed outside houses in the very first Animal Crossing and the ones who take donations at construction sites in New Horizons don’t play music but instead handle maintenance and in-game functions.
