Enable IMAP and POP3 on GMX. Go to Settings > POP3 & IMAP > Enable access to this account via POP3 and IMAP > Save.On Gmail, select the Settings gear > See all settings > Accounts and Import > Import mail and contacts.Enter your GMX Mail address and select Continue. Sign in to your account, choose what you want to sync, and select Start Import. If you have Gmail and GMX Mail email addresses, you may find checking email in both places inconvenient. Instead, set up Gmail to retrieve your GMX email messages (and send from your gmx.com address) from Gmail. In this way, you can use both services from one interface. Gmail can also apply a label automatically to your GMX Mail messages so they're in one place in Gmail, leaving your Inbox uncluttered.

Enable IMAP and POP3 on GMX

Before you Gmail can access your mail from GMX, you need to allow it access. By default, GMX disables IMAP and POP3 access for security reasons. So, you have to manually enable them first. Open GMX and sign in, then select Settings from the menu to the left of the screen. On the Settings page, locate POP3 & IMAP from the left menu and choose it. You'll arrive on a page with information about POP and IMAP usage. Select Enable access to this account via POP3 and IMAP. Once you do, press Save to make the change permanent.

Now, you can turn your attention to Gmail to link it to your GMX account. To set up POP access to a GMX Mail account in Gmail: Log in to your Gmail account. Select the Settings gear in the upper-right corner. Choose See all settings from the menu. On the Gmail Settings page, select the Accounts and Import tab. On the Accounts and Import tab, select Import mail and contacts. A new window will pop open. Enter your GMX Mail address ("example@gmx.com," for instance). When you're done, press Continue. On the next screen, enter your GMX Mail password under Password, and press Continue again. Gmail will sign in to your GMX account. Then, it'll present you with a couple of options for what to sync. Select what you want, and press Start Import. Once Gmail has everything set up, it'll send you a success message, letting you know that it's going to start importing your messages. Press Ok to finish. If you have a lot of messages, it may take a long time to bring them all over to Gmail. You'll return to the Accounts and Import settings page.
