Use a third-party app to sync your Apple Watch and iPhone activity data with your Mac.Export data from the Health app on iPhone and send it to your Mac.Take a screenshot of your activity from Apple Watch or iPhone and open it in Photos on your Mac. This article explains three ways to see data from the Activity app on your Apple Watch on your Mac. This lets you view and examine your data on a nice, big screen. Sync With a Third-Party App
Health Auto Export is a third-party app and it bridges the gap for seeing Activity app data on your Mac. The app syncs this data from your iPhone (paired with your Apple Watch) to your Mac or iPad. So be sure to install the app on both your iPhone and Mac (or iPad). Once you have Health Auto Export installed and are ready to view your data, open the app on your Mac. Then use the navigation on the left side, starting with the quick options at the top. Select Recents to see a snapshot of all your latest activity. This includes everything from active energy and stand time to step count and walking speed. Choose Workouts to see details about your exercise routines. Begin by picking a date range like today, yesterday, or the last 30 days, and then select a workout to review. Pick Export to create a CSV or JSON file of your activity data. Select the Date Range, Interval, and Export Format. To customize the data, click Select Health Metrics and check the circles for the items you want. Click Export and then open the file. Below the three quick options at the top of the navigation, you’ll see the individual categories. Click to expand a category and then select an item to view. You’ll see a chart with your data, can choose the date range and interval, and even export a particular item. Health Auto Export is free and offers a variety of additional features based on the plan you select. So if you intend to review your Activity app data often, you might consider one of the paid plans available via in-app purchase. Export Your Health Data
Another option to consider is an export from the Health app on your iPhone. The data is more intended for health purposes by providing items such as clinical records and workout routes. However, you could find it useful if you plan to import it to another location on your Mac. Open the Health app on your iPhone. Tap your profile icon or photo on the top right. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Export All Health Data. Confirm this action by tapping Export. You’ll then receive a small message explaining the export is processing. When complete, you’ll see your share sheet display at the bottom. Swipe up and select the option you want to use to send the file to your Mac.
Take a Screenshot From Apple Watch or iPhone
Although not ideal, you can always capture a screenshot of the Activity data you want and then send that image to your Mac or access it in the Photos app. On Apple Watch, open the Activity app and move to the data you want to capture. Press the Digital Crown and side button at the same time to take a screenshot on your Watch. On iPhone, you can use either the Fitness app (formerly Activity) or the Health app, depending on the data you want to capture. Since the process varies, check out our instructions for taking a screenshot on your iPhone model. You can then send the screenshot from your Apple Watch or iPhone to your Mac using your preferred method. But even better, if you sync the Photos app, you should see those screenshots in the Photos library on your Mac.
