While the holidays have been over for most, today actually marks the true end for some. Jan. 6 is Three Kings' Day, also known as Día de los Reyes Magos. It is a holiday celebrated primarily in Latin America, Spain, and by Latinos in the US, and commemorates the wise men's visit to baby Jesus after his birth.

On the holiday, kids will leave out their shoes by the door, and receive gifts in them the next morning from the wise men. They often leave out grass and other gifts for the wise men's camels too, much like children leave cookies and milk for Santa.

Families also bake or buy a Rosca de Reyes (Three Kings bread). Rosca means "wreath" and reyes means "king," and the bread symbolizes a king's crown that is topped with jewels, aka dried fruit. Hidden inside the bread is typically a tiny baby Jesus figurine, which according to Parade, "symbolizes the hiding of the infant Jesus from King Herod’s troops."

Whoever ends up with the slice that has the hidden Jesus doll must then throw a party on Día de la Candelaria (Candlemas), which falls on Feb. 2.

So whether or not you knew all that info beforehand, now's your chance to see whether you'll be throwing a Candelaria party of your own. Below is a rosca de reyes I made just for you. Inside I've hidden TWO baby figurines. Tap or click on any part of the rosca that you'd like to eat and we'll see if you end up finding one of them.
