The Weeknd's new album Dawn FM dropped Jan. 7. And if you've been listening well, all weekend, you probably know about most of the cameos already.

Sure, the album features the likes of Tyler the Creator, Oneohtrix Point Never, Lil Wayne and the great Quincy Jones...

But if you're wondering why Dawn FM's disc jockey from purgatory sounds so familiar, just know that you're not crazy. Yes, that really is Jim Carrey.

In a collaboration we can only describe as incredibly Canadian, you can hear Carrey guide the album along on three tracks— "Dawn FM", "Out of Time" and "Phantom Regret by Jim".
Playing the role of a radio DJ talking you through your own death (always keeping it light that Jim Carrey), Ace Ventura's presence on Dawn FM shouldn't come as a complete surprise.

Not only are The Weeknd and Carrey both Scarborough, Ontario natives, they're also currently neighbours in Los Angeles too. They actually live so close they can spy on each other through their windows. Literally.

An inspiration to Abel from day one, it's actually kinda sweet to see this odd couple come together... even if it's for the spoken-word-death-meditation that is "Phantom by Jim", co-written by Carrey himself.

And as Jim Carrey blissfully guides us through the afterlife, you know people had a lot to say about the iconic comedian being enlisted to help his friend on Dawn FM. And they're loving it:

And now we wait patiently for a Jim Carrey album. Are you tuning into Dawn FM?
