Yesterday, Bob Saget suddenly died at 65, and since then his fellow actors, comedians, and costars have been sharing special memories they shared with him.

Among the list of celebrities paying tribute to Bob Saget are some of the people who worked with him on How I Met Your Mother.

Even though Bob never made an onscreen appearance on the series, his beloved voiceovers as the older Ted Mosby were a massive part of the series.

Josh Radnor, who starred as Ted, took to Twitter shortly after news broke about Bob's death to share how much he admired Bob and how he was an important member of the HIMYM cast.

"Bob Saget was the older wiser 'me' for nine years on How I Met Your Mother," Josh began. "He was the kindest, loveliest, funniest, most supportive man. The easiest person to be around. A mensch among mensches."

"I had so much imposter syndrome when HIMYM started, thought I’d be found out, kicked off set, and sent home. When I'd run into Bob on the Fox lot in those early days he'd gush over my performance and tell me how he was studying me to make sure his vocal performance felt right."

Then, Josh went on to say how important it was that an actor he admired so much took the time to tell him how great of a job he was doing.

"This man that I’d delighted in seeing on TV for years cheering me on, letting me know I had a right to be there and playing that character...I can’t overstate how meaningful his words were. (He also, true to form, told me jokes that I cannot tell here or in polite company)."

"We had a very special bond from Day 1, were never out of touch for long," Josh continued. "We found a way to grab dinner once a year, even after HIMYM wrapped. We went to see each other in our Broadway plays. We talked a lot about how to live a meaningful life amidst all the chaos."

Josh reiterated what others have said about Bob, saying that he always said "I love you" and made sure you knew it. "There are people who leave the earth and you’re haunted by all the things you didn’t tell them, all the love that was unexpressed. Luckily that wasn’t the case with Bob. We adored each other and we told each other."

He ended his Twitter thread with a sweet photo of him and Bob and said, "I'll hear his voice in my head for the rest of my days."

Josh Radnor @JoshRadnor I’m endlessly grateful that HIMYM brought Bob Saget into my life. I’ll hear his voice in my head for the rest of my days. /end 03:38 AM - 10 Jan 2022 Reply Retweet Favorite @JoshRadnor / Via Twitter: @JoshRadnor Also, I highly recommend listening to Josh Radnor talk with Bob Saget on his podcast in 2020. It's perfect. You can listen here.

Alyson Hannigan, who knew Bob prior to working with him on HIMYM, shared this touching story about babysitting his daughter.

alyson hannigan @alydenisof One of my fav memories of Bob was when I was babysitting his daughter. I was 15 & couldn’t get her to sleep/stop crying. Bob came home, took her in his arms, played a Tracy Chapman song & danced with her until she fell asleep. He was a wonderful Dad and human #RipBobSaget Love u 05:31 PM - 10 Jan 2022 Reply Retweet Favorite @alydenisof / CBS / Getty Images / Via Twitter: @alydenisof

Neil Patrick Harris said he was "stunned" to hear about Bob's sudden death and how he was always so funny.

HIMYM co-creator Craig Thomas shared a series of tweets reflecting on how amazing working with Bob was and how his work really helped bring the series to life.

Craig Thomas @HimymCraig I don't even know what to say about Bob Saget. I loved him and was so lucky to work with someone so funny, soulful and kind. His role on himym was a voice in the future, looking back on all of life's complexity with a smile, and that's how I'll always remember him #RIPBobSaget... 01:13 AM - 10 Jan 2022 Reply Retweet Favorite Twitter: @HimymCraig / Via Twitter: @HimymCraig

And Craig poured a drink out for Bob right next to one of the lamps from MacLaren's Pub.

Meanwhile, HIMYM co-creator Carter Bays echoed the sentiments about how Bob was the best guy to be around.

Carter Bays @CarterBays There was simply no better guy. He was the best. Sending love to the many, many, many people who are heartbroken right now. I can't think of anyone whose memory will be more of a blessing. https://t.co/07TLLIrrMe 01:05 AM - 10 Jan 2022 Reply Retweet Favorite @CarterBays / Via Twitter: @CarterBays

And finally, HIMYM executive producer and writer Chris Harris talked about how much fun it was to record Bob's voiceovers over the years.

Chris Harris @justchrisharris So sad about Bob Saget. ADRs with him for HIMYM were the best gig—he’d spend ten minutes nailing his lines (sometimes he’d jokingly ask if we were sure we didn’t want him to say the word “Kids” a few more times) then another 45 mins hanging out making us laugh. He was the best. https://t.co/t3NVBkKbWT 01:24 AM - 10 Jan 2022 Reply Retweet Favorite @justchrisharris / Via Twitter: @justchrisharris
