Girls! Love it or hate it, when it was airing, no one could stop talking about it. But will it ever come back?

The Hollywood Reporter recently published a profile of Lena Dunham, in which the actor, writer, and Girls creator finally cleared the air on whether or not there'll be an And Just Like That-esque reboot any time soon.

Basically: Don't get your hopes up. “We all recognize it’s not time yet," Dunham says. "I want it to be at a moment when the characters’ lives have really changed."

HBO's chief content officer Casey Bloys echoed Dunham, saying, "As proud of the show as we are, there aren’t any plans to bring Girls back. It’s great to know new viewers will continue to discover the [original] series.”

Dunham also joked that some of the cast's stars — like, say, Adam Driver — might potentially overshadow Girls itself at this point. "Right now, everyone would just be wanting to see Kylo Ren," she said.

But! The article also notes that Dunham's had "informal talks" with HBO to bring Girls back in some form, so who knows. Stranger things have happened.
