John Krasinski takes on role as franchise segues to TV in Amazon' s ' Tom Clancy' s Jack Ryan'

John Krasinski lends his everyman acting charms to CIA analyst Jack Ryan in Amazon’s new eight-part TV drama Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (premiering Aug. 31). “Clancy’s books were so rich and detailed that TV may be a more well-suited medium for Jack Ryan,” Krasinski says. “We’re able to dive into more of his world and show the intricacies of how his brain works.” Watch the video below to see how the actor’s predecessors approached the role.
