Sinai Medical School, Dr. Butler inspired generations of researchers and worked tirelessly on behalf of older persons.
"Dr. Butler’s book, Why Survive?, won the Pulitzer Prize and helped put aging issues at the center of public policy discussions. A tireless advocate in pursuit of social justice, his life’s work enhanced the lives of older people in the United States and abroad.
