The 1950s were the Golden Age of . The music was swinging, the standup comedy was sincere, and just about anything was possible. Vince Vaughn wishes he could have been there himself. was. In fact, he pretty much owned the place -- along with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and the rest of the Rat Pack. Rickles recalls the house being crazy (who goes to standup shows at 5 in the morning?), the cocktail waitresses being attractive, and the law enforcement being, shall we say, less-than-stringent. No one believes Rickles when he reveals what he used to do when he got off his shift in the morning. Even fewer believe his claim of being a “monk” at the time. AARP Membership: Vaughn first met Rickles shortly after his breakthrough performance in Swingers in 1996. The meeting was not exactly what the actor, now 46, expected.
