All forums are free of charge. The initial series of this year’s forums will be held on Wednesday, April 25 in Mena (Polk County, western Arkansas); Thursday, April 26 in Hot Springs (Garland County, central Arkansas); Thursday, May 10 in Fayetteville (Washington County, northwest Arkansas) and in Eureka Springs (Carroll County, northwest Arkansas); and Tuesday, June 12 in Fairfield Bay (Cleburne and Van Buren counties, north central Arkansas). The forums will include presentations on retirement decision-making tools, consumer alerts, securities fraud, senior insurance issues and Medicare fraud.
See Also: Questions will be taken from the audience. There will be a 30-minute break during the forum for participants to visit exhibits from the four state agencies and AARP. A complimentary lunch also will be served.
In 2011, AARP Arkansas in partnership with the four state agencies hosted consumer forums in Blytheville, Springdale, Clinton, and De Queen.

AARP Arkansas is partnering with state agencies including the Office of the Arkansas Attorney General; the Arkansas Securities Department; the Arkansas Insurance Department—Senior Health Insurance Information Program; and the Department of Human Services—Division of Aging and Adult Services to bring a series of consumer protection forums to Arkansans.See Also:
