AARP Opens Nominations for Highest Utah Volunteer Honors
AARP’s annual Andrus Awards for Community Service recognize individuals who make a powerful difference in their communities.
Nominees should be those who have improved their communities, inspired others to work in community service, have demonstrated courageous, inspirational, or unusual qualities, and have embraced AARP’s mission and vision to help people age with dignity and grace.
Your nomination can also be submitted to Jill Duke via email at , or by fax to Jill at 801-561-2209. Nominations by mail should be sent to AARP Utah, 6975 Union Park Center, Suite 320, Midvale, UT 84047.
Award recipients will be honored at a reception at the Fort Douglas Officers’ Club at the University of Utah on the evening of Oct. 11, 2011.
Please share this information with your community. Nominees need not be an AARP member; however, their body of work should be consistent with AARP’s mission and vision.
The deadline for nominations is June 1, 2011. AARP believes outstanding volunteer service should be recognized and celebrated in all corners of the state and across the country.
