Key findings include the following: The economy and health care are deemed by voters ages 50+ in most of these states as the most important issues facing their state.

Division in America is a top concern among voters ages 50+ across states.

Although the majority in most states feel that the U.S. economy is getting stronger, very few feel that they personally are getting ahead financially.

Voters ages 50+ across states are unhappy with prescription drug pricing and express support for reforms.

Voters ages 50+ are concerned about changes that Congress may make to programs that matter to them, such as Social Security and Medicare. These eight state surveys were conducted in November and December 2017 by Benenson Strategy Group and GS Strategy Group for AARP. Within each state, the sample included 800 registered voters ages 50+. All interviews were completed by telephone using landlines and cell phones. For more information, contact S.
