Georgia's Ryan to compete at national championships NCAA.com

PRESENTED BY GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Georgia's Laura Ryan came in second and Ann-Perry Blank placed 10th on platform on Wednesday as the Zone B diving championships concluded at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Ryan scored 623.90 points (329.10 in prelims and 294.80 in the finals). Blank notched 474.65 points (233.65 in prelims and 241.00 in the finals). Darcie O'Brien came in 20th with 199.55 points in prelims. Ryan was the only Georgia diver to advance to the NCAA championships. By virtue of her win on the 3-meter springboard on Tuesday, she will join the Lady Bulldogs in Minneapolis, Minn., March 20-22. Ryan is a native of Elk River, Minn., which is less than an hour from Minneapolis. She is eligible to compete on all three boards at the NCAAs. Ryan and the Lady Bulldogs will be going for their second consecutive NCAA title. Ryan took first on 3-meter, second on platform and fourth on 1-meter during the Zone B championships. Blank was sixth on 1-meter and 3-meter and 10th on platform. Florida's Kahlia Warner displayed a career best platform score of 284.10 in prelims and finished with a 10-line total of 539.95, which placed her sixth overall in the event. After finaling on both springboard events at the SEC championships, Warner’s performance was a personal best at the Zones meet and her highest finish in a championships format on platform. Both Warner and Delaney Dye made finals on one-meter. Warner placed 11th with a 12-line total of 580.60 and Dye placed 17th with a 12-line total of 534.90. Warner also was a finalist on three-meter, posting a 12th place finish and 12-dive score of 626.85.
