The Marksman Pistol has an antique look and wooden fittings on its body. This cannot be fitted with any attachments and works somewhat like a . Its design is based on the Thompson/Center Contender G2. It has a break-action reload system and can shoot only a single bullet in between reloads.
(The Marksman Pistol being held in first person perspective)
The Marksman Pistol is a very powerful weapon with good range and high damage. If the target is hit accurately this weapon can take out enemies even at long ranges. Its disadvantage is that it can shoot only one bullet at a time before reloading again.
It has a break-action reload system which takes a few seconds to reload. Even targets with armor can be taken out in 1-2 shots with the Marksman Pistol.
The weapon's "Platinum" finish slightly resembles a Thompson/Center Encore Pro Hunter. Oddly, the player directly inserts another bullet when reloading; the casing would normally remain inside the weapon and would have to be removed first. This implies the entire cartridge is fired or the case is ejected when the barrel fore-end opens. The Marksman Pistol cannot be used for drive-bys, despite being a handgun. This restriction does not apply to the Double Barrel Shotgun.
