Conor McGregor (Image credit: Getty Images) 's acting career is up and running, but that doesn't affect his hunger for mixed martial arts, as showcased in the Irishman's latest post on social media. Since becoming a megastar in the sport, 'The Notorious' has become somewhat of an entrepreneur, chasing business opportunities and making hundreds of millions of dollars. From boxing Floyd Mayweather for an absurd amount of money to releasing, growing, and then selling his renowned whiskey brand, Proper No. Twelve. In a recent post to Instagram, Conor McGregor described what each day looks like for him now he has to juggle acting and his long-awaited return to the octagon. He insisted that the work he puts in is purely out of obsession and love for the game: "17 hour days [of] filming, then straight to the gym before going home. How bad do you want it? I work so hard for it because 1. I love it. 2. I want it. And 3. It's mine." The former two-division UFC champion's latest venture will see him head to Hollywood where he'll star in a remake of the much-loved 1989 action movie, Road House. Starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, the combat sports star will make his first appearance on the big screen. Although it's unclear as to the size of the role the Dubliner will play, he is taking his job incredibly seriously, utilizing acting coaches prior to arriving on set. The movie is set to premiere in 2023, and while many are excited to see McGregor in action, Road House isn't the only movie rumored to feature the icon. Based on his profile on , he is reportedly going to play a character named Nero in the upcoming movie Zombie Rome, which is currently in pre-production.

Will Conor McGregor return to the UFC

Despite entertaining different career choices at present, Conor McGregor is still in the gym, working on his craft between family time and acting, but will he ever return to the UFC? According to , the lightweight has been out of the USADA testing pool for close to a year. He will need to be tested six months in advanced if he wants to ever fight in the octagon again. While it may be some time before we see McGregor make his sensational comeback, it is clear from his daily posts on social media that he is determined to step back into the cage.
