PRESENTED BY Purdue's 2013 season was one to forget after finishing 1-11, including an 0-5 mark on the road. After Wednesday, it's clear Boilermakers coach Darrell Hazell is searching for ways to turn that around. Hazell informed his team Tuesday night that Wednesday's two-a-day practice would be at a different venue, Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana, approximately 39 miles north of campus. Hazell said the change was made to prepare his players for unfamiliar conditions and to learn to adjust on the fly. “Coach Hazell is teaching us it’s not always going to be comfortable,” quarterback Austin Appleby told The Lafayette Journal & Courier. “At the edge of uncomfortable is when you begin to learn. We learned we’re going to have our backs up against the wall. We’re going to be uncomfortable in hostile places. No one cares. We have to pull together and find a way to bring it.” Boilers are getting after it up in Rensselaer on the long grass. is here, too — Purdue Football (@BoilerFootball) Related:
