Regian Eersel faces Sinsamut Klinmee at ONE on Prime Video 3 This Friday at , ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion will look to add another belt to his collection, this time in Muay Thai. Ahead of facing for the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world championship, Eersel has continued to train in both disciplines, kickboxing and Muay Thai, simultaneously. During his appearance at the virtual media day faceoffs, Regian Eersel spoke about how this camp has differed as he enters a new sport. “Yeah the transition, that’s the only thing, the transition from the big gloves to the small gloves. I fought before with the small gloves in the kickboxing fight. So I have some experience with it.” He added: “In my training camp the only thing we did more is clinching and elbows. But during my kickboxing career, I kept training my elbows, so that was not a real problem for me to use the elbows.” While speaking about the difference in glove sizes between the two sports, Regian Eersel was asked about whether he prefers competing in the smaller Muay Thai gloves. He responded: “Yes, of course. Ahead of his chance to hold belts in two separate sports, Regian Eersel spoke to ONE Championship about his next opponent: “The way he’s fighting, of course. He looks very good, fights very good, his KO power. He knocked out his last two opponents and that was impressive.” Klinmee's knockouts that Eersel praised came against Dutch legend Nieky Holzken and British striker Liam Nolan. The two performances firmly announced his arrival in ONE.
