CHAMPS

PRESENTED BY Jimi Hendrix created magic on the guitar, but his hands were also responsible for some impressive college football illustrations during his teenage years. Sportswriter Joe Posnanski tweeted out a few examples of Hendrix’s work during a trip to the Rock Hall of Fame in Cleveland, all of which depict current Pac-12 schools Oregon, USC, UCLA and Cal in illustrations dating back to 1958, before the Pac-12 existed as a conference. During Hendrix's years growing up in Seattle, the league was called the Pacific Coast Conference, but still featured the Ducks, the Trojans, the Bruins and the Bears. One ommision from Hendrix's choice of schools drawings is his hometown Washington Huskies, another Pacific Coast Conference and Pac-12 founding member. The drawings range from depictions of players catching and running with the ball, but also one of the famous Heisman Trophy pose. Jimi Hendrix a GIANT Pac-10 fan.
