Nintendo Switch Lite Is Already Part Of The Drift Lawsuit

The drifting issues with the Switch are such a problem that legal action has been taken against Nintendo, and the Switch Lite is now involved as well. The drifting issues with the are such a problem that legal action has been taken against , and the Nintendo Switch Lite has now become part of the lawsuit. The Nintendo Switch comes with two Joy-Con controllers that each have a joystick, but the quality of the joysticks has come under scrutiny over the past year. The Joy-Cons are susceptible to an issue known as drifting, which is often caused by being too forceful with the joysticks. The effect of drifting is that the controller will respond as if it's being pushed in a direction, even though it isn't being touched. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY It would be somewhat understandable for the original generation of Joy-Cons to suffer from a manufacturing issue that hadn't been detected before the release of the Nintendo Switch, but Nintendo has continued to sell the same type of Joy-Cons over the past few years, even though the issue hasn't been resolved. The Nintendo Switch Lite doesn't have Joy-Cons, but it uses the same hardware for its built-in controllers. It's for this reason that the Nintendo Switch Lite has been added as part of a lawsuit against Nintendo. According to , the lawsuit claims that Nintendo has knowingly sold faulty hardware to the consumers for the past two years. Via nintendo.co.uk The drifting issue is even more of a problem with the Nintendo Switch Lite, as the controllers are connected to the system itself, which means that it's going to be more costly to ship it off for repairs and the consumer will not be able to use the console while it has been sent off. The lawsuit brings up these issues, along with all of the problems with the existing generation of Joy-Con systems. The plaintiffs have made the claim that Nintendo has knowingly sold faulty hardware and that they are seeking damages for the expenses incurred by purchasing and replacing their controllers. The lawsuit was filed on September 27 and the plaintiffs are requesting a jury trial to resolve the matter. Source:
