Nintendo Shows Off The Nuts And Bolts Of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

Nintendo has released two new trailers for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, showing off the story, gameplay elements, and new features. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore will be the first big Nintendo Switch title of 2020. As the release date comes up, Nintendo has released two new trailers showing off the story and gameplay elements of the game, including new features that weren't present in the original Nintendo Wii U version of the game. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE was originally promoted as being a crossover between the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei series, with iconic characters from both franchises teaming up for the first time. The actual game that was released for the Nintendo Wii U 2016 was more akin to something from the Persona series, with its modern setting and spirits that allowed party members to use magic. The only aspect of the original design that remained was some of the Fire Emblem characters acting in the Persona roles for the main characters. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE was a great JRPG that suffered from being stuck on the Wii U, one of Nintendo's worst performing consoles. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY A revamped version of the game is being released on the Nintendo Switch as Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore next year. The Japanese Nintendo YouTube account has uploaded two trailers for the game, the first explaining the premise of the game and introducing the different party members. The second trailer shows off the combat mechanics in the game and the dungeons, with an explanation for how enemy weaknesses work and how they can be chained together into combos with the help of Session attacks. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE was cruelly overlooked on the Nintendo Wii U, which was due to a mixture of the low sales of the system and some bizarre censorship choices that dominated the discourse surrounding the game. It's a shame that the game never got its due in its day, as it deserves a place among the Shin Megami Tensei series. This port to the Nintendo Switch might finally give the game the chance it deserves to find an audience. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore will be released for the Nintendo Switch on January 17, 2020.
