West Liberty stays at No. 1 despite a big shakeup in the Top 25 NCAA.com

PRESENTED BY After three consecutive weeks with three different No. 1 teams, West Liberty brings some stability to the Top 25. Despite the Hilltoppers holding tight at No. 1 this week's Top 25 went through another major shakeup. If the last four weeks are a precursor of what's to come, DII basketball is in for a wild March. Let's take a look at some of the interesting numbers from this week's Top 25.

The Top 25 breakdown

1 -- Spot that Lincoln Memorial's Emanuel Terry claimed on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays with . takes the No. 1 spot on for an all-time dunk in 's win at Carson-Newman tonight — LMU Railsplitters (@LMURailsplitter) 2 -- Undefeated teams remaining in DII basketball. No. 1 West Liberty is 17-0 and the upstart No. 10 Morehouse Tigers are 16-0. 3 -- Lone Star Conference schools (No. 9 Texas-Permian Basin, No. 11 West Texas A&M, and No. 18 Texas A&M-Commerce) represented in the Top 25, the most of any conference. Six conferences are represented by two schools. 3 -- New teams in the poll. Fort Lewis returns at No. 21. Western Washington enters at No. 23 and Cal Poly Pomona is at No. 25. They replaced Barry, Christian Brothers and William Jewell. 8 -- Spots No. 18 Texas A&M-Commerce fell this week coming off two Top 25 losses. The Lions were the biggest dropoff this week. RELATED: 8 -- Spots that No. 16 Southern Nazarene jumped this week, in just the second week in the Top 25 in program history. It was he biggest riser of the week, but No. 14 Valdosta State wasn't far behind, jumping seven spots themselves. 9 -- Ranked teams that lost this past week. No. 7 Northwest Missouri State lost to Nebraska-Kearney No. 11 West Texas A&M lost to Tarelton State before rebounding with a Top 25 win of its own No. 12 Northern State No. 15 West Florida went down to Auburn-Montgomery No. 18 Texas A&M Commerce lost to both No. 9 Texas-Permian Basin and No. 11 West Texas A&M. Both losses came by a total of five points, one lost at the buzzer No. 19 Wheeling Jesuit was a victim of No. 1 West Liberty's undefeated run No. 20 West Chester lost to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference foe Shippensburg No. 22 Dallas Baptist was upset by Oklahoma Christian No. 24 Claflin had a tough run in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, losing to No. 10 Morehouse and Clark Atlanta. 11-0 -- 17 -- Team wins most represented in the Top 25. Eight schools have 17 wins, six schools have 16, four schools have 14, three schools have 15, and two schools have 18 and 20. 20 -- The most wins by a school in the poll. It was the Hilltoppers lowest output of the season by ten points. 110.6 -- Points the Hilltoppers score per game. West Liberty is No. 1 in DII and the next closest team is 15 points behind. This number makes WJU's accomplishment that much more impressive. 121 -- Consecutive weeks West Liberty has been ranked in the Top 25, a DII record. Ninety-one of those times, they've been a Top 5 team. 409-46 -- Overall record of the Top 25.
