The Witcher 3 5 Reasons Sorceresses Are The Most Powerful & 5 It s The Witchers
It can be difficult to pinpoint who is stronger. A Witcher or a Sorceress. Here you'll find cases made for both sides of the argument. Among the most powerful beings in are the Sorceresses and Witchers who’ve mastered the magical arts, albeit in differing fashions. To put it simply Witchers have internalized their magical powers to give them enhanced abilities whereas Sorceresses wield it outwardly as a tool or weapon. A discussion of who is the greater threat or which one is most likely to win a fight is a bit speculative and entirely depends on the scenario and style of combat. To help you decide for yourself whether a Sorceress or Witcher is more powerful here are cases arguing for both. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Sorceress Range
Sorceresses are dangerous because they can operate at a greater range than Witchers can. A Witcher can manifest that can hit targets up to medium range, but for Sorceresses, they’re limited only by their power and are capable of launching spells from significant distances. This gives them an incredible advantage in combat as they can carpet bomb their enemies from a distance with a variety of destructive spells. They don’t need to see the whites of their enemies' eyes, they can just target the little dots in the distance. Witcher Speed
The magical energies flowing through a Witcher’s veins allows them to achieve speeds much faster than your average mortal. This speed allows them to dodge incoming attacks and react faster in combat. If a Witcher is in close range they’ll immediately have the advantage as they can close that distance faster than their opponent has time to react. Even at a large distance they can evade incoming missiles and close the gap quickly making it hard, if not impossible to kite them. Sorceress Teleportation
While a Witcher may be fast on their feet, Sorceresses understand that speed is irrelevant when space isn’t an object to be bothered with. Using their magic they can teleport themselves short or great distances in the blink of an eye. This allows them to get to unreachable places and can make them nearly impossible to catch as they can cover vast distances when they need to. The only downside to this power is that it takes a great deal out of them and requires tremendous skill and ability. Witcher Strength
When pitted against mortals and even various creatures in hand-to-hand combat, the Witcher has a clear advantage given their tremendous physical strength. They can cut down armored opponents quickly, bash heads in, and even grapple with monsters like Trolls. This physical strength would also permit them to wear heavier armor that would provide greater protection to standard attire and wield mighty weapons average humans could never hope to pick up let alone use effectively in combat. If it’s a physical brawl between a Witcher and a Sorceress, the fight would be over rather quickly. Sorceress Political Power
Because of their studies in the magical arts, sciences, and politics, Sorceresses are often employed as politicians or assistants of powerful people. Their incredible abilities and vast knowledge often make them equal to kings and tyrants and many wield a great deal of executive power as a result. This gives them a huge advantage against their opponents as many Sorceresses can bring armies, assassins, and powerful bureaucrats to bear against whoever faces them. It’s hard to kill an enemy shielded by armored troops, castle walls, a network of alliances, and pesky laws. Witcher Mental Resiliency
Part of a Witcher’s training involves extensive mental and psychological conditioning. Witchers are expected to face several and beings that employ fright, illusions, and insanity to overwhelm their victims. As such, a Witcher is expected to be resilient and callous to these things. Because of this, a Witcher can be more powerful than a Sorceress as they can see and do things that would leave a Sorceress a babbling, depressed, insane mess. When witnessing the horrors of war, fighting a particularly sinister demonic being, or carrying out a dark and grim assassination a Witcher might be a better pick. Sorceress Healing
A Sorceress is capable of harnessing their magical power to heal themselves and others suffering severe injuries. Disease, sickness, physical harm, poison, you name it and there is a Sorceress out there with enough power to heal or treat the ailment. Granted, there are some afflictions that even a Sorceress cannot heal themselves or others from, but when facing a mysterious plague or at the brink of death, a Sorceress is the one you want in the room to keep you alive. Witcher Durability
A Sorceress may be capable of healing severe afflictions and diseases, but a Witcher has enough durability to prevent those afflictions from affecting them in the first place. Your average Witcher is nearly immune to all diseases and is incredibly resistant to various poisons. They can even shrug off blows from strong and deadly beasts that would instantly kill other beings. A Witcher’s healing abilities are also a part of their biology so they don’t need to cast a spell to heal themselves from tough injuries, whereas a Sorceress would have to be conscious to cast a spell. If you want someone to walk into battle and come out the other side with only scars, then a Witcher is the one you want. Sorceress Magical Ferocity
A Sorceress’ greatest strength is their magical ferocity. The abilities of a Sorceress are only limited by their skill, raw power, and determination meaning some of the strongest are capable of awesome displays of power. They can cast protective shields around entire castles, conjure thunderstorms, brainwash their victims, transform a mortal into a piece of quartz, and bend the fabric of reality, although this would no doubt kill them. With a single spell, a properly prepared and trained Sorceress could obliterate, transport, or transform an entire army of Witchers. Witcher Stealth
A Witcher’s greatest asset is stealth. With their inhuman speed, strength, magical signs, and ability to see at night, knowing a Witcher is even around is a challenge. With their cunning and training, a Witcher can make for expert assassins. If a Witcher has proper time to guzzle a few potions, gather the right gear, and draft up the plans, they could bypass a castle’s defenses, take down the guards, and kill a Sorceress in her sleep without getting caught. With the element of surprise and , a Witcher is a dangerous foe.
