Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Will Be Similar To The Witcher 3 s And Won t Be Cut From The Main Game

All DLC for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 will be significant content expansions, not cut content from the base game. Via: cyberpunk.net After an exciting presentation at and breathtaking moments with Keanu Reeves, CD Projekt Red states that its DLC for the upcoming will be similar to in scope but will not be cut from the main game in an attempt to nickel and dime their customers. Via: cyberpunk.net/ UI coordinator Alvin Liu spoke recently with to discuss new aspects of the game that fans may not yet be familiar with. Regarding expansions, Liu states that: “We want to make sure everything’s complete, but we also want to build open worlds. I know when I was playing The Witcher 3 and I finished everything, I still want to know what everyone was up to. I think we’re going to have opportunities like that as well for Cyberpunk 2077.” Liu then shifted quickly to reassure its fan base, stating “We're not withholding content, we're not withholding story for the future to try to, you know, monetize it or sell it in pieces or anything like that. You're going to get the whole, full value game here.” THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY We know already that the game will contain multiple endings, and with this plan for DLC it genuinely feels as though Cyberpunk 2077 is being made with the player experience in mind. While studios may talk big about how they plan to make a rich, story-driven narrative without loot boxes or attempting to monetize every aspect of the game, it is hard to believe some of them. for example had a shoddy record of having players experience “”, to mask their intentions of heavily monetizing a game, and so when they promise that will be free of loot boxes, we are skeptical. Trust was further diminished when yesterday a argued that loot boxes are more like elements of surprise that players love. CD Projekt Red on the other hand has already proven themselves with The Witcher 3. The main story was engaging and satisfying, while its expansions were enormous projects that could almost certainly have been new, standalone games. When CD Projekt Red states that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be treated the same way, it says a lot about the positive experience that players can expect. Via: en.cdprojektred.com This also means two things. One, we can continue to be excited about the release of the game next year, and two, now would be the perfect time to play The Witcher 3 if you have not already. It seems as though it is on sale on Steam every few weeks and is worth every penny. Now, if someone can get to work on a Nintendo Switch port for Cyberpunk 2077, that would be great! Cyberpunk 2077 releases on April 16th, 2020 for the , , and .
