Keep your eyes peeled by Share: While the titular Pocket Monsters may be the stars of the Pokémon franchise, the music has certainly been a nice plus in the games. Many a classic track has been crafted over the years, and the soundtrack fits in well with this lineage. For those of you that would be interested in listening to the tropically-themed soundtrack on the go, it's expected to roll out on iTunes across this week, and it's already begun in some regions. The soundtrack is now available to those who live in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and Italy; rather strange territories to initially release the soundtrack in for sure, but the rest of the world should be caught up over the next few days. You can check out the full list of tracks , there's a whopping 169 to listen to. What do you think? Will you be picking this up when it goes up in your region? I got the X & Y soundtrack from iTunes back when it was released (only time I've used iTunes). I then got HG/SS soundtrack from CDJapan since it wasn't that much more expensive and I like physical soundtracks. I might get this soundtrack as well but I don't have any hurry. I'd like to own all of the main series soundtracks at some point though. The X & Y soundtrack included some Pokémon Origins music as well. I was hoping for Pokémon Generations music to be included in this one but I guess they can't really do that since the Generations hasn't ended yet. I might grab the soundtrack once I've finally reached the end of the story. I dislike iTunes in general... it just seems like Apple's way of forcing you to use their services when they would otherwise not be needed, and I refuse to support that practice.
If it was being released through any other service then I'd probably get it, but never on iTunes. Not sure if this is the best Pokémon soundtrack yet, but it has some great tracks for sure. Especially the Poni Island overworld theme is gorgeous. Nice. I still sometimes play super Mario Galaxy 2 ost from club Nintendo in my car. It's nice on the motorways Looking forward to its release, but I only worry about the song length. iirc most of the songs on the ORAS soundtrack were short, only about a minute long. The earlier games' soundtracks had decent lengths, at least around 2-3 minutes... Not sure why they started making them shorter.
I didn't know HG/SS had a soundtrack available! I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info! Why can't Nintendo imitate the Pokemon Company and make more soundtracks available on Apple/Spotify? If Zelda's soundtracks were available on Spotify, I wouldn't have problem paying monthly for a suscription. I just wish videogame soundtrack releases would loop properly instead of playing about 110% of the song and fading. I like video game music because it loops cleanly, so if I just want to chill with the Ice Path music going I can. Excellent. Can't wait to get it. I really like the music from this gen.
