The Samsung Freestyle Lets You Take Your Entertainment Anywhere

One of the new products the company announced allows you to take your entertainment anywhere. We'll take a closer look at the portable Samsung Freestyle.

Entertainment on the Go

While Samsung is known for its TVs, smartphones, and more, the Freestyle is a different type of device. the device toward Gen Z and millennials. Along with a projector, the Freestyle is also a smart speaker and ambient lighting device. Weighing a little less than 2 pounds, the 1080p projector can provide an image on any surface at any angle, up to 100 inches. Sound wise, it sports a dual passive radiator and 360-degree audio. When not using it as a projector, it can provide mood lighting with its ambient mode and translucent lens cap. It's also a smart speaker that will analyze the music to pair visual effects that can be projected anywhere. With built-in microphones, you can also take advantage of either Amazon Alexa or Samsung's Bixby for voice controls. The Freestyle uses the same OS as other Samsung smart TVs, so you'll be able to take advantage of streaming service apps, a web browser, and more. You can also cast content from an iOS or Android device. For the best possible picture, you can use a smartphone app to adjust the projector brightness and color settings. Using the smartphone camera, the app will also analyze the environment, including wall color and lighting conditions, to hone the picture.
