However, amid their blossoming romance, the twosome seems to have reached a crossroads as they gear up for the next steps in their romance. The duo, who have lived together in Virginia Beach since coupling up on the show, recently unveiled plans to go long-distance. Clayton dropped the bombshell while appearing on the podcast, “Not Skinny But Not Fat,” stressing how determined he and his partner were to make it work. Clayton Echard went candid about the state of his relationship with Susie Evans. He explained how they decided to love each other, without pressure, whether their romance was destined to last one more month or a lifetime. According to the 29-year-old, what mattered was finding happiness in each other. Clayton believes he and his partner were in a great place in their relationship. He credited Susie with adding positivity to his life and getting him where he was today. Despite finding joy and comfort in each other, they both understood the need to pursue their dreams when it came calling. Speaking on the next steps in their relationship, the ABC star disclosed they both planned to relocate from Virginia Beach, where they have enjoyed a life of bliss since moving in together. Worse still, they were moving to different cities, with the former football player relocating to Scottsdale while his partner moving to LA in the interim. Clayton attributed this decision to their desire to pursue their dreams. Despite the 50-minute flight between them, the lovebirds plan to make it work. The TV star noted: “Distance makes the heart grow fonder. She has her own dreams and aspirations. And we’re gonna give it a shot. If it doesn’t work and we’re like, ‘We don’t like this distance, it’s hurting us,’ then one of us will move to the other person.” Fans Believe The Couple Are Nearing An End
Since the interview, several fans have speculated that moving to different cities was the beginning of an end for Clayton Echard and Susie Evans, who endured their fair share of hurdles on The Bachelor franchise. Their breakup during the 2022 season of the ABC show especially struck a chord, with many believing it an end to their romance as the former athlete pursued relationships with fellow finalists Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey. Thankfully, the two reconnected again as the season drew to a close and have since remained inseparable. Seeing as the lovebirds were able to survive such a brutal scandal, living through a long-distance relationship for the greater good might work out for the resilient, strong-willed duo.
