FREAKIN SAME Kunio deserves to be in smash. He's the forefather of beat-em-ups and decent console sports games. He deserves a roster spot just as much as Erdrick did. Just realized this is the only thing from ArcSystemWorks in Smash at the moment. Yes! More Spirits to grind my character at! Kyoko and Misako should've gotten spirits as well.
Kunio-Kun, that spawned series like Renegade and Double Dragon, with games so good that even Nintendo released them in the west (Nintendo World Cup, NES). Yeah, nice to have some if it represented in Smash, even if it's just spirits. Looking forward to it.
I hope some of the older events repeat, I somehow missed the 4 new Pokémon spirits. well it basically deconfirms fighters as every dlc fighter comes with dlc spirits. And since Terry came with characters from series like Mersl Slug and such, its not always going to be spirits from their specific game. I never get tired of collecting new spirits, the randomness about it is so much fun and exciting. My collection must stay complete! Cool!
Another iconic character is disconfirmed then, though. I am so glad my OCD didn't want to collect Smash spirits. I don't think I could live through that horror. In my opinion they could have EASILY, been DLC fighters. They would have added more female representation and they are from a newer released beat em up.
Same but I'm missing the Tetris spirits. They should be added with the Byleth update if it works like past event spirits. Kunio really should be a DLC fighter. If anyone picks him, items should automatically be turned back on. Also, they'd have to get every voice actor back in to record an extra line for each character: "BARF!" I feel like I'm one of very few people who associates this spritework style more with Nintendo World Cup than River City. Probably because I never heard of River City for years, but played Nintendo World Cup quite a lot back in the day. Speaking of, Nintendo World Cup has never officially seen a re-release anywhere, right? Only officially being available on the NES, and Game Boy I believe. People really like collecting the spirits? I liked collecting all the trophies in the previous games but these don’t do anything for me. I liked being able to view each trophy, move it around to see each angle and read a write up on the character. I even liked just looking at the big pile on the table. These spirit things give me nothing to get attached to. : As cool as that would be, reprising the entire cast (yet again) sounds like a logistical nightmare. Now that I think about it, this article's tagline should have been something like, "Get ready to barf!".
