4 Ways to Make Your Entertainment More Eco Friendly

4 Ways to Make Your Entertainment More Eco Friendly

4 Ways to Make Your Entertainment More Eco Friendly
MUO

4 Ways to Make Your Entertainment More Eco Friendly
Entertainment isn't particularly eco conscious. Here are a few ways you can make your fun better for the environment. Think about it. All of the gadgets and gizmos you're constantly running have implications for the environment. As a result, we should all seek out ways to lessen our environmental impact as we consume home entertainment. Fortunately, there are a number of ways you can reduce your carbon footprint while still keeping the party going. It isn't as hard as you might think. Here's how to make home entertainment a more eco-friendly pursuit.
1 Invest in Upgradeable Hardware
Image: NAD Look at your surrounding tech right now. How much of it is upgradeable? The likelihood is, not a great deal. This is because a lot of brands design their tech to become prematurely obsolete, meaning it becomes useless long before it should do. In essence, if a small, important component fails, then this renders the device obsolete; it won't work anymore. But what about the rest of the components? You may have a device that is 95% functional, yet a crucial 5% of the device no longer works or more advanced hardware has replaced it. Audio hardware that follows an upgradeable design, such as NAD's modular design construction (MDC) amplifiers, is an excellent addition to any home entertainment system. This is not just down to quality, but also the fact that you can customize your amplifier to your requirements, swapping modules out as tech advances, yet retaining the same core device. It works the same with a computer that you can continuously upgrade. Gaming laptops, for example, tend not to have replaceable components. While it should last several years of gaming and streaming, and whatever else you throw at it, once the components are obsolete, that means you need a new laptop. You can easily keep upgrading a desktop computer, though. So as soon as 8K arrives, your PC will be ready to accept a new GPU, and stream your movies and games in incredibly high definition, straight from your computer. If all companies adopted this approach, then we wouldn't be sitting on mountains of eWaste and experiencing .
2 Use Devices Made From Sustainable Materials
You don't have to go all out buying expensive amplifiers to begin with, there are smaller changes you can make, too, such as buying devices made from sustainable materials. Speakers are a good example and, in particular, portable Bluetooth speakers are a culprit when it comes to eWaste. Audio brand , for example, produces a range of good quality speakers that won't make your wallet wince. Not only are they financially sound, but they are also environmentally conscious, too. Its Get Together and Stir It Up ranges both feature bamboo external components; a well-known sustainable material. With personal entertainment, such as headphones, there are additional considerations to be made. We often use materials such as leather in the manufacture of high-end cans. This leather comes from cows farmed so intensively that it harms the environment, not to mention the ethical implications of killing something just so you can listen to your music. With a little care and attention, you can make minor changes on a personal level that will contribute to bigger changes on a global, environmental level.
3 Consider Ethical Alternatives to Your Current Tech Providers
There is often an ethical alternative to any tech provider, be that environmentally ethical, or ethical on a more humanitarian level. Be that via direct practice or the message an ethical brand wants to transmit. Take Google as an example. What good does your Google search do for the environment? Precisely none. However, using a search engine like can do some good. How? Because Ecosia uses ad revenue to plant its trees. So next time you're searching for song lyrics, try using Ecosia instead. Likewise, if you play video games, consider buying them via . Humble Bundle is a marketplace that operates a pay-what-you-want system and allows users to donate to charity. Music fans can be more ecologically ethical, too. Storing your entire music collection on an SSD is more environmentally friendly than , which is plastic and therefore not great for the environment. However, there is the obvious trade-off here of not having a tangible product that you can hold in your hands; something we all love to experience and particularly with musical formats. If you want to find out more about ethical alternatives to your lifestyle, then is a great place to start, as it lists a wide range of categories, not just tech, and not just eco-friendly brands. This means that you can align your tech with whatever your values are.
4 Buy Refurbished Tech
You don't always need to buy brand new tech. There are plenty of ways to get hold of refurbished tech that works like new. So, you're looking to buy an iPhone 12, for example, so you can access your iTunes content on the go. Don't just buy new from a carrier or direct from Apple. Shop around first and see if you can find one on a phone refurb site. You don't even need to do the shopping around. Websites like , so you can get a bargain without having to trawl the web and risk losing your cash to a disreputable company by accident. Buying a refurb is much better for the environment, no matter what tech you're buying—it doesn't have to be a phone. You could get a game console, smartwatch, or TV in exactly the same way.
Now You Can Start Making Entertainment More Eco-Friendly
It might not seem like a lot to make the changes outlined above, and you'd be forgiven for thinking "I can't make a difference on my own." However, as cliche as it sounds, we can make a difference if we all work together to do so. Just following one of the steps above will help reduce your carbon footprint and make more ethical entertainment choices.

Klei Entertainment Would Like To Bring Don t Starve To 3DS

Klei Entertainment Would Like To Bring Don t Starve To 3DS

Klei Entertainment Would Like To Bring Don't Starve To 3DS Nintendo Life

Has no concrete plans, however by Share: Klei Entertainment's latest title is Don't Starve, a game which sees you take control of a gentleman scientist who gets transported to a freaky and mysterious world by a demon. It's currently only available on PC but a fan of the game recently asked Klei Entertainment founder Jamie Cheng on Twitter about the possibility of it making it to either the 3DS or PlayStation Vita. Cheng responded by saying there are currently no concrete plans for a handheld version but that he would love to make one: 330381624522981376 Klei Entertainment is the same studio behind Mark of the Ninja, which is available on PC and Xbox Live Arcade, and has a reputation for fun and addictive games. Have you played Don't Starve? Would you like to see a 3DS version? Check out the gameplay trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section. on [source , via ] Share: Comments ) Dont starve looks interesting... Where are some vids? Ask and you shall receive From the video... It does look pretty nice, I'm loving the graphics. I'd be great if they ported it for the 3DS. I like the style. Klei Entertainment Would Like To Bring Don't Cry To Wii U Virtual Console Don't Starve and Minecraft are the only indie games I would love without so much as playing beforehand to have on a Nintendo device. Especially Don't Starve. It looks SOOOOO much fun! Don't Starve would be amazing on the 3DS if done right. I signed up for this with the beta version on pc. Now that the full game is here, I can only say this would be a pre-order for me if it came to 3DS. So fun! Klei did a great job with timely updates and great feedback on the forums thru the Beta development for this. They would fit perfectly with Nintendo. Please consider this Klei!! I'd prefer it be on the Wii U as well. It'd be a great game for the U. It'd be better on Wii U and Vita. It's a stellar game. I highly recommend it. So you don't people to enjoy it on the 3ds, that's sad. That game would look great with stereoscopic 3d. I am always on the fence about buying that game. If they bring it to 3ds i will buy it right away Love this game on the PC, and it would be a good fit on the 3DS. How would it be better on Wii U? The 3DS and Wii U are so similar the only real difference is preference and graphics. So I'm going to "lake control" of someone. How exactly should I go about doing that? (Oooooh eeeedddiitoooor!!) With indie games being ported all over the place, I wish Terraria would get ported to 3DS and WiiU, since it's getting ported to Vita and PS3. Looks good. I saw this game on Steam a few days ago and it looked interesting. I'll need to check out some videos of it before I decide if it is worth trying out. I think a moron deleted my previous post.... : You mean your previous 20-some 'first' posts? The ones we don't allow at Nintendo Life anyway? I wonder who would be crazy enough to do that YES! I'm still wanting Portal for the Wii U,though. :3 Wait... I haven't even played this game... Oh my god! I was waiting for Klei to bring Dont Starve to a Nintendo Platform! If it comes, then 1st day purchase!! Would be awesome since the game is fantastic, but I highly doubt it will ever happen. They better do it for 3DS i think it would be pretty sweet. Love the pc version but 3DS would be even cooler! :] Yes please! I have it on pc but i would buy it again if it was on 3DS or even Wii U. Such a fun game! Same here yes, Klei, do it L...O...L Fair enough, but I didn't know how I did that... I feel we would see a decent increase with sales if it comes to the 3ds. Thats more than enough reason to do it, besides the fan-based fact. Ah, no, the Wii U and 3DS are quite different. Of course I don't mind the game coming to 3DS, but I do feel, control AND graphics-wise, that the Wii U and Vita touch-screens would be more fitting. If it is workable and high quality, I'll certainly support a 3DS release, of course. I've played Don't Starve for a while until I couldn't keep up with all their content updates. It's a hard game and a cruel one. When you die you lose everything. It's basically Minecraft's early minutes of Hardcore Survival meets Tim Burton's fantasies, pretty crazy game. I really enjoy the style. Problem with a 3DS ports are the controls. They are currently thinking about GamePad support, but I don't know how the game should work with a pad... right now it's played by mouse and WSAD, heavy clicking. Klei is sooooo awesome. Mark of the Ninja is my favorite 2D platform game in a long time and ranks right up there with the best Castlevania or Metroid games. Please go buy this game of you have a 360 or PC. I had some discussions with them on their facebook page begging them to bring it to Vita or 3DS and they said they couldn't because it was published by Microsoft studios and essentially exclusive. They also did the solid Shank 1/2 games on PS3. I hope they do branch out to handhelds as their games would be right at home. If you haven't played MOTN then go get it and you will love it if you are a fan of old school platforming at all! Looks like fun, I'd buy it! Don't know if it's my cup of tea! I rather have Shank 1 and 2. Those are made by Klei, right? It's not too bad until winter comes as long as you can find a durable food source (I usually locate my base camp next to a bunch of rabbit warrens) and some basic protection. Then, winter. THAT is brutal. This is all assuming you can find the materials to make a fire by nightfall. God help you if you don't... The happiness I would have if this happened. its a rly good game. i can say that since iam playin the atari times back in the 80s in other words: played a lot of games. i have started it from time to time the last days but iam missing something. its multplayer... would buy it if it came on 3ds with multiplayer. CIRCLE Entertainment Will Make A Publisher Dream Sequel Should It Be Successful

CIRCLE Entertainment Will Make A Publisher Dream Sequel Should It Be Successful Nintendo Life

All it needs is 888 "votes" by Share: CIRCLE Entertainment's DSiWare title is now available in both Europe and North America and it seems there may be a sequel on the way should the game do well. The publisher recently announced on its Twitter account that if the game hits "888 votes" in the US eShop a sequel will "definitely" be lined up for the 3DS: 331967378634207232 We're not entirely sure what CIRCLE Entertainment means by "votes" - we're presuming it means reviews or ratings, though it could also be actual game sales, we're not entirely sure. Basically, if it does well there'll be a 3DS sequel - that seems to be the gist of it. We think the game has some good ideas - as we explained in our review - but there are some questionable design choices that can hinder the overall experience. Would you be interested in a sequel to Publisher Dream? Let us know in the comments section below. [source ] Related Games Share: Comments ) 888 is a random number. How many times does dsiware games get reviewed in the NA e-shop? I would be interested in a sequel if it improves upon the things Thomas didn't like. Too bad in Canada you couldn't get the extra American votes as well... I got the game and it's not that bad at all, actually. I'd like a sequel too if it adds more stuff, like being able to name your game or have the staff talk to you. It'd be nice if fans had nicer things to say as well. Totally agree, I wish I could find a history of how all my games sold, not just the ones that are currently on the market. 8 is considered an extremely lucky number in China is 8 their favorite number? 888? At least it's not 666 I like the game and would love to see a sequel more along the lines of Dungeon Village part RPG part Sim. Keep them coming Circle I like both publishers dreams and Bookstore Dreams Will get this one just because I want a 3DS sequel.
I barely have any memory left for DSiWare games and I don't like having to delete the games I already have and lose my saves. At $2, this might get enough attention to get people to buy and rate to warrant a sequel to hopefully fix the problems of this one, which don't sound awful by any means. Well if they meant 888 downloads or 5 star ratings, I'd oblige them with both. For $2 it's a great deal! what kind of 'votes' do they want? i'd be willing to shell out the $2 for it, but i'm not going to lie when it comes to recommending it to other people if it turns out i don't like it :/ 8 is a pretty nice number, my favorite number actually. I think it's pretty silly that Europe gamers won't have a say in this. GungHo Online Entertainment s Market Cap Surpasses Nintendo s

GungHo Online Entertainment s Market Cap Surpasses Nintendo s

GungHo Online Entertainment's Market Cap Surpasses Nintendo's Nintendo Life

Puzzle & Dragons owner sees a huge rise in its share price by Share: The mobile gaming market is certainly on the rise as more and more people start to adopt devices such as tablets and smartphones. No longer do you need to have a dedicated gaming console to enjoy games as you can now find them within various app stores. Naturally, the quality may not exactly be the same as the games found on the 3DS or the PlayStation Vita but the video game market is certainly shifting as more consumers opt to download software on their mobile devices. This change in the market has been shown again recently as the market capitalisation of GungHo Online Entertainment - which is most famous for its Puzzle & Dragons title - has surpassed Nintendo's. Following its strong earnings announcement last week, GungHo’s share price jumped nearly 29% to 1,342,000 yen ($13,579). That pushed its market capitaliszation to 1.546 trillion yen, overtaking Nintendo’s 1.539 trillion yen. For the uninitiated, market capitalisation (often shortened to market cap) is the total value of issued shares of a publicly traded company. Essentially, if you take the share price and times it by the number of shares outstanding you'll find your magic number. GungHo is actually bringing an RPG version of Puzzle & Dragons to the 3DS in Japan. Puzzle & Dragons Z is down for a Winter release and GungHo CEO Kazuki Morishita has said in a financial results briefing that the company hopes to shift at least one million copies, according to a . The mobile version of Puzzle & Dragons has more than 13 million registered users in Japan alone so there's every chance a paid RPG version on the 3DS could achieve such a high goal. What are your thoughts on the rise of mobile gaming? Where do you see the future of gaming headed? Let us know in the comment section below. [source , via , ] Share: Comments ) Interesting. I've played the game and I thought it was pretty fun. I wish P&D was as large as it is in Japan, for North America. This sounds like Puzzle Quest on my 3DS. I'm still a little bit confused on the whole "market cap" thing. I mean, this company can't be actually worth one one-hundredth of what Nintendo is worth... so what does "market cap" entail? This smacks of a bubble waiting to burst. I remember when Draw Something blew up, was worth millions, Zynga bought them, and a few months later.... ? I'll be curious to see what the respective valuations of each company are in 12 months. Tablet and smartphone gaming is here to stay, but I still haven't felt compelled to play any of the games in the iPhone app store after 4 or so years. They just seem to be 'throw away' software, and I actually care about the buying of my games, unlike most of the people who play on tablets etc. As long as there are traditional portable consoles, I will continue playing them. If the day comes when traditional handhelds become unprofitable for their makers, then that is the day I'll probably give up on portable gaming. ...I'm as confused as Balko. What does that mean? I don't think we should measure success in terms of money. Especially in this case. There are so many people in the world whom depend on smartphones whether it be for work, networking, socializing, etc. and a very large number of that group does not consist of "hardcore gamers". So, of course mobile games are going to sell well when more people have access to phones than video game consoles. I have plenty of iPhone games myself, mostly being free. I just don't get that quality experience that I get when I play a Nintendo game or even a Playstation game for that matter. The depth just isn't there. I'll certainly buy a Zelda game over Angry Birds or Cut the Rope any day. Video game success should always be determined more by the quality of the game. Nothing to worry about. Stocks go up and down. Nintendo will be around for the long haul. I love puzzle games (and dragons), but they are a dime a dozen. This can't hold up long term. Heck, it's coming to 3DS. That tells you something right there - they want to actually make money on a platform that sells games for more than 0 cents. Hate to be the guy, however "times" is a preposition (i.e. five times seven), the verb multiply would be the correct word in this case Source: pursuing mathematics minor. That aside, Puzzles & Dragons would be great on 3DS It's completely baffling to me that given the situation I hadn't even heard of GungHo Online Entertainment until I read this article and yet I follow the industry on sites like IGN and Gamespot etc every single day. I guess I must have seen articles on this Puzzle & Dragons game and the company but they just never caught my attention enough for me to bother reading them or something. This surprised me as well. It is interesting to see GunHo's market cap surpass that of Nintendo. That said, I do not know very much at all about mobile gaming. I've never heard of GungHo either. As others have stated mobile games are definitely here to stay, though their quality can come nowhere near that of a focused handheld gaming device, as the E-shop proves that even at a lower price than retail the games themselves are superior than games for mobile phones and tablets. Odds are it's because you (and I) don't play many, if any, smartphone/tablet games. Investopedia: Definition: "The total dollar market value of all of a company's outstanding shares. Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying a company's shares outstanding by the current market price of one share. The investment community uses this figure to determine a company's size, as opposed to sales or total asset figures." Basically, while the company has far less money than Nintendo, it currently has higher growth potential. The higher your growth potential, the more people want to invest in you and buy shares. The more people invest in you, the higher your market cap and value go. Market cap doesn't actually reflect how much money you have/how big you are. For example, Sony is MUCH bigger than Nintendo, but their market cap only exceeds Nintendo's by about 3 billion. This is due to their piss-poor profit margins and the overall shakiness of a lot of their operations. (Heck, not one year ago, their market cap was actually LOWER.)
Nintendo currently has about $12 billion dollars in the bank and they never reported a full year loss until 2011 yet their market cap was like $85 billion dollars back in 2008. This was because, thanks to Wii, their growth potential was HUGE and they attracted a lot of investors. But when the recession took its toll that year, the market cap plummeted by like half or so. Even though they continued to rake in cash, (2009 was their most profitable year ever I believe), their growth potential leveled off in 2008 so investors didn't return in the same swarms preventing their market cap from getting back to its former levels. I am no broker so my perception's probably off but that's how I feel it basically works. Oh god no, now I'm one of the in crowd? I've been addicted to P&D for about a week now. I'ld never heard of them before last week though they made some game called Hogworld for kids that people probably bought thinking it was Harry Potter related. And yes, its a match 3 game but a little more strategically involved b/c you don't "swap" pieces, you slide 1 as far as you want. Plus - and here's why its big in japan - you collect littles monsters that you level up by combining together and then make your own team of 5, like Pokemon, and then on top of that you borrow 1 extra from online - you seem to need to be online to play. And there are a bunch of free levels that ramp up slowly but also different daily levels that are difficult to beat, at least for me.
So yeah, its free and not Fire Emblem and you can spend money on kicrotransactions but its more engaging than Bejeweled or Puzzle Hero. Did I mention I'm addicted? Ah, I understand now. Thank you for taking the time to explain it, it cleared up a lot of confusion for me. This sounds like the dot.com bubble to me Puzzle Quest, much? Well, if it can strike the brilliant balance between casual and hardcore gameplay that PQ did then I'm in. The generic title and seeming similarity to a much beloved game of mine worry me, though. Bubbles burst... You also have to remember most of these mobile gamer's are only casual gamer's, casual gamer's are not into gaming for the long haul. I can see a totally different story for mobile gaming in years to come, when other trends & device's are in place. I also don't think Take Two's Revenues for Q4 which almost doubled from $148.1 million to $300 million, if mobile gaming was such a massive threat, in a time between hardware changes where sells usually drop-off. I guess this explains why they can afford to put random Japanese games on NA PSN... I got the 2 dollar Castle Conquerer game and it was fun. I was really excited to get Heroes, but I only ever played it about twice and stopped caring. I like how it's a different style of Fire Emblem, but the gameplay is just so slow... Like, everyone takes twenty slow hits to kill slowly. I haven't played any of the CC Heroes games, but I want to get this. Lack of DSiWare memory is a huge reason why I don't want to buy too many DSiWare now. What the hell is castle conqueror..... Money Talks In CIRCLE Entertainment's DSiWare Title Banking Dream Nintendo Life

Mo money, mo problems by Share: CIRCLE Entertainment has announced that it is bringing another of its "Dream" titles to DSiWare this year, this time focused on the wacky world of finance. places you in the bank manager's chair, where you're expected to grow your bank's cash mountain whilst dabbling in stocks and shares to inflate your own personal fortune. Having lots of money in your vault naturally attracts the attention of robbers, so you'll also need to ensure your security is up to scratch. In other news, CIRCLE has cancelled its forthcoming DSiWare game Achilles War. Share: About Damien has over a decade of professional writing experience under his belt, as well as a repulsively hairy belly. Rumours that he turned down a role in The Hobbit to work on Nintendo Life are, to the best of our knowledge, completely and utterly unfounded. Comments ) Because bankers are so popular nowadays... Bankers are almost as popular as DSiWare games are nowadays. wasnt there a game like this on the nes .. stock market boy or something like that ...if this game is like that i buy it..loved that game Wall Street Kid was the name of the NES game and i remember putting hours into that game ....hopefully its a clone Again with the sims!, and they also cancelled Achilles War which actually looked like a good game...how sad. This game looks positively amazing... by amazing, I mean dreadfully boring. I have been enjoying Circle's 'Dream' series of games. They're relatively well made and approximates Kairosoft's 'Story' games, often with streamlining that makes then a little less irritating to play (Publisher Dream comes to mind) Surprised people are so negative. They need to make one Called RPG Dream! That would be neat like the one from Kairosoft. I love those games and I love these games. I hope that Banking dream will be cool Like its predecessors. For a buck.99 these games pack alot of punch your right, there are alot of negative people. Whats up with that? This game isn't even out yet Please fix the bugs from Publisher Dream - I gave up restarting that game, after it decided to simply stop for the third time. Achilles War. was canned? Video: The Wii U Difference Campaign Explores Entertainment Nintendo Life

Rufus Hound gets the popcorn by Share: Earlier this month Nintendo UK employed the services of British comedian Rufus Hound to explain the where he went through the various features of the GamePad, which was lovingly described as "the Wii U's wingman". A couple of weeks later Nintendo released the Hound once more. This time he informed the masses about the , which was made up of main retail titles (the bread), indie eShop titles (the butter) and Virtual Console classics (the filling). Sounds tasty to be fair. Well, he's back and this time he's talking people through the entertainment aspects of the Wii U, which include watching YouTube videos and movies through and all "from the comfort of your own GamePad". He mentions hot dinners and cake this time round. Do Nintendo feed him? We sure do hope so. Check out the new educational video below and let us know your thoughts in the comment section. VERY CREEPY
P.P.S. VeEeEeEeEeRy CrEePy that is genuinely the first feature i show visiters to my house when i'm convincing them to upgrade their wii. LOL thats so creepy Oh Nintendo how very lame you've become. British comedian Rufus Hound... Never heard of him. Wow so one can watch you tube, netflicks blah blah blah on the game tablet/giant remote/future doorstop... What an amazing sales gimmick [yawn] The Wii U is poopoo... Infact Nintendo has turned poopoo. Just look at the latest joke... the 2DS. With the Wii U's lack of quality first and third party games. A stupid gamepad that most, if not all third party developers don't want to touch. Outdated hardware that developers don't want to touch. Software tied to the console instead of being account based like Apple, Sony, Microsoft etc etc etc etc etc. The list goes on. I was an N fan, but I've come to realise that if Nintendo released a plank of wood with a big N on it, Nintendo fans would still buy it.
I'm sick of the childish crap... Bring on the PS4! Knock it off please; if he's angry and disappointed, he's angry and disappointed — TBD I think I would be disappointed with a plank of wood with a big N on it. Love my 3DS, love my Wii U and will probably buy a 2DS for my daughter who is really wanting to play Animal Crossing with me. I thought it was great. Only the second commercial has disappointed me so far. A ps4 fan oh brother. I'd love a Taylor Swift ad. A generic one too, her, family and friends with her in it playing games and showing what it can do. It couldn't be worse than the above. How to ruin the credibility of Nintendo, the Wii U and British comedians? Post that video. Yeah, this video is a real system seller. You sure know how to move systems Nintendo. I love these ads lol, thats not true (virtual boy), you liar Honestly I really liked that commercial... That is a huge selling point for some people. Maybe it doesn't rock your boat, but some people may see this and the fact that they can play Nintendo games on it as well and be totally convinced. sony fanboys xD You can technically control your A/V reciever for sound volume, as well.
I have my HDTV hooked up to a reciever. Both support ARC(audio return channel), so when I tell my HDTV to up the volume via the GamePad, the receiver turns up. Most HDTVs are ARC compatible. When I turn on/off my TV, the sound receiver turns on/off with it. Is this as creepy as I think it is or is this just another American-European cultural divide thing? WTF did I just watch?? Is the guy trying to be funny.. or scare the pokepoo outta me?? Especially with that smile at the end... be afraid.. be very afraid.. Nice ad! cool... I think I could do a better ad than that The ad makes it look like it doesn't have anything more than a netflix app and web browser. Fail. Yes I'm thinking it's looking pretty good.
Been a huge Nintendo fan for the past twenty years or so. But lately they have so lost it. Shame... But yeah I'm Mr angry on this one. Had enough of Nintendo, that's about it really.
Actually I was a 'Nintendo Fanboy' ... For the last twenty years or so.
I did own a PS3 at some point, but soon sold it.
I'm not liking Nintendo's direction as of the past few years... So yeah time to move on. Just venting my disappointment here with this latest silly ad. But if the Wii U goes down in price which it is meant to do in the next few months or so, and they get their act together... who knows. It's another American-British cultural divide thing. just open the web browser and go to youtube. It's better, and it's capable of running without closing games or other software. You know, these videos ARE informative. Despite me not knowing this guy or the British humor, I am starting to like these campaigns more and more. I hope they are effective for Nintendo. I wouldn't say that,I'm originally from the UK and I find this guy about as funny as a boot in the stones and I can be sure all my mates and family back home would say the same, well the 1's with stones anyway.I'm sure you have your own 'comedians' that are just as bad! If I didn't know any better, this guy alone would put me off buying 1!
Huh? I am from the UK... I find this guy not funny. I find him stupid and annoying. And yeah he has put me off even more so from buying a Wii U.
I relied to the cultural comment, as someone from the US said they find it creepy and didn't get it and asked if it's an American-European cultural divide thing. And I replied that yes it is an American-British cultural divide thing.
Having an American wife, and knowing the USA quite well, this kinda 'comedy' is not the norm.
Thanks Next up on youtubepoop...
